It seems that Army General Bipin Rawat’s recent comment regarding the growth of Maulana Badruddin Ajmal-led AIUDF (All India United Democratic Front) in Assam has not gone down well with them as he has cautioned the Army chief to not comment on Political matters. He said that the job of Army is not to comment on the rise of a political party.
Asaduddin Owaisi posted a tweet regarding it,
What, the Army Chief should not interfere in political matters it is not his work to comment on the rise of a political party ,Democracy & Constitution allows it and Army will always work under an Elected Civilian leadership https://t.co/PacWqqYXz1

Recently Army chief commented that the growth of AIUDF in Assam is taking place in a faster mode than the growth of BJP since 1984 which at that time had only 2 seats. His comment came after reports regarding the growth of Muslim population in some districts of Assam.

“A planned immigration is taking place because of our western neighbour. They will always try and ensure that this area is taken over, playing the proxy dimension of warfare,” General Rawat had said, talking about the influx of people from Bangladesh into the Northeast.
Army chief made the comment while addressing a conference on bridging gaps and securing borders in the Northeast region.
The illegal immigrants entering Assam has long been a headache to the sate. Now the state has come up with a national register to identify the illegal immigrants.
