Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft Windows, who is currently leading a foundation on global health is anxious about the pandemic preparedness of United States.
He was speaking at a discussion about epidemics, hosted by Massachusetts Medical Society and the New England Journal of medicine.
The billionaire philanthropist says he had taken up this issue to the president Donald Trump earlier. The possibility of smaller groups creating fatal viruses is getting high with each passing day.

Newer forms of viruses and bacterias emerge and in a world where people travel a lot, spreading the pathogen comes naturally. The weaponized disease could infect a huge number of people, like the pandemic that killed 50 million in 1928.
We could face a scenario of losing 30 million lives in 6 months, observed Gates. Gates is anxious about a possible event like the spreading of SARS or MERS about which we knew nothing until it unveiled on us out of nowhere.
Bill Gates and his wife, Melinda had repeatedly expressed their concern about the spread of such epidemics. He urged everyone to have a warlike preparedness to fight the situation.
