Sex is one of the biggest selling point of the big and mini screen industries these days. In an age where more and more makers are cashing in on this possibility of skin show that generates viewers, Sweta Bhattacharya cuts a different figure. The actress who plays the female lead in ‘Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki’ has set her boundaries clearly and refused to be in a hot scene with her co-actor Vishal Vashishtha.
Her firm decision has thrown the makers in to a tight spot, not being able to get the most out of her on screen. The planned first-night scene eventually had to be made short and devoid of the ‘spice’.
The sources close to the actress says that Sweta had put a clause in her agreement that she is not available for intimate scenes and will not wear short clothes or sleeveless. But the actress said that she is concerned about appearing in short and sleeveless clothes but had not mentioned it in her contract. But it was made clear to the producers right at the start of the shoot itself that she won’t wear hot pants ,anything too short or be involved in lip locks or sensuous scenes.

The serial is a Hindi remake of a Bengali one in which there were no intimate scenes. It seems like the makers had decided to add a little spice to the script but was met with a strong stand from the actress. She said “I am not comfortable wearing sleeveless clothes and I don’t think they flatter my body”. Sexual scenes are getting more rife in visual entertainment these days and actress like Sweta are becoming a rarity.
