Finally,Cure for baldness found!

It is amazing how science makes breakthroughs from experiments that was intended for something else. Researches have discovered that WAY – 316606 a drug that is used to treat Osteoporosis  can actually induce hair growth. The drug had a tremendous effect on hair follicles and stimulated them to grow. The drug is yet to undergo clinical trials but it is very promising.

The study was published in the Public Library of Science Biology journal. The research was done in a lab with samples that contained scalp hair follicles from more than 40 male hair transplant patients. The researchers first went ahead with an old immunosuppressive drug called Cyclosporine, a drug used for decades to prevent transplant organ rejection and reduce symptoms of auto immune disease.  A chemical compound in Csa restricts the protein called Secreted Drizzled Related Protein 1 (sfrp 1) which stops or slows the growth of hair follicles. But because of some of its side effects, Csa was regarded unsuitable for treating baldness. Later they tested Way 316606 and found it  even more efficient in suppressing the protein.

Meanwhile some of the bald guys have come up saying you can keep your treatment with yourself because we are proud of our baldness. We also feel that the stigma around baldness is needless and one needn’t worry about it. But if someone wants to grow hair, may be there is a way and that’s WAY 316606.
