Rajmohan Unnithan is the face of Congress party in T V shows. The veteran Congress leader, known for his energy and eloquence have found himself in a spot of bother as he has a self-confessed BJP supporter in his own house. It is his son Amal Unnithan who is currently under attack on social media after he posted in Facebook that his vote was for BJP.

“My Vote for BJP, My fathers vote for Congress ” was what his Facebook post said along with a picture of BJP flags waving high. In another post he took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi by posting his sad-faced picture captioned “See he doesn’t have the airs even after making BJP win across Karnataka”. This is probably what infuriated the Congress party members more than Amal showing his support for BJP.
As one would expect Rajmohan Unnithan’s Facebook page has not been spared either. One of the comments on his page read “Forget Karataka MLAs, the party leaders cant even prevent their own sons from joining BJP”. Some posts where from Congress party members who lamented the fact that they worked for Rajmohan Unnithan in the previous election from Kundara Constituency where he lost. The group war in Congress party would mean that there will be more polarisation in opinion in the coming hours.
Amal removed his Facebook posts later but by the time he had done enough to be targeted from all sides. BJP supporters soon made a ring of fence around him and reduced the intensity of further attacks. They said a man should not be attacked for merely stating his allegiance to a party.
