The fast-tracked development project of BJP in 48 months is contrasted with the 48 years of the previous government. The milestone achievement to be projected is the providing of electricity to 18,000 villagers which hitherto has been out of the electricity supplies. If a village has its 10% of the households along with public places like schools and health centers have electricity, its declared electrified. Under the Saubhagya scheme, the government plans to provide electricity to every household by the year-end.
The BJP believes that the initiative to provide free cooking gas connections to the poor families has helped widen its support base in the rural areas. This incident will be heavily publicised under the tagline”four crore poor families received the gas connection, five crore more left to go”.
Illuminating the feather in the cap of the Railway Ministry, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project will be presented as the ministry’s biggest achievement so far. Adding to that in the promotional campaign, the bullet train will be used as a metaphor for the fast-paced development in the 4 years of BJP led NDA’s rule.
