Shiv Sena To Quit BJP Alliance? Breaking News
BJP’s one more ally intends to quit partnership. Shiv Sena may pull out Ministers from Devendra Fadnavis led government in Maharashtra and would support united alliance from outside for the next election.
The report comes amid the defeat of Shiv Sena candidate in Palkhar by-polls. Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray addressed media on Thursday and said that out all the places BJP won only in two places and that does not make me very happy.
In late April, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut had said that the party alliance with the BJP was on a rocky patch and might even break-up. The BJP today only managed to win Palghar Lok Sabha by-poll in Maharashtra. These Lok Sabha by-poll results have been very crucial for the BJP, but the performance of the party has not been extraordinary.

Palghar in Maharashtra was the center of attention because of the contest between BJP and its ally in the government Shiv Sena. It was the first time that the two allies, following months of sharp verbal exchanges, crossed swords for a seat.
The BJP held on to this seat as its candidate Rajendra Gavit defeated Shiv Sena’s Shriniwas Vanga. Gavit defeated Shriniwas by over 29,000 votes.
