In India, state of Maharashtra is the largest contributor of E-Waste, with 19% and recycles only about 47,810 tonnes/ annum(TPA), a report released by Assocham and NEC ahead of World Environment Day on June 5 says.
From the total E-waste produced in 2016, only 20%, that is about 8.9MT has been documented to be collected properly and recycled. The Study said that no record of the remaining E-waste was got.
