This might be a little hard for you to digest, just as much as hard it was for this 63 year old woman to read her medical report. It was found that woman’s mouth was inseminated by sperm, after she ate the under-cooked sea food, without removing its internal organs.
The doctors on examining her samples found “12 small, white spindle-shaped, bug-like” sperm bags embedded in her tongue and gums”. The foreign bodies were identified as squid spermatophores – sperm-containing capsules – belonging to a Japanese flying squid, or Todarodes Pacificus.

The woman had not removed the internal organs of the squid before eating it and had also added to the problem by parboiling the creature a few seconds before eating. This allowed the spermatophore to remain in good shape and it found a soft place in woman’s tongue to embed. The South Korean woman had to be given immediate medical attention afte the incident.
Researchers for the study wrote: “As soon as she put a piece into her mouth, she felt like many ‘bugs’ were biting her oral mucosa. She experienced severe sharp pain and spat out the entire portion without swallowing. Despite that, she could feel many small squirming white bug-like organisms penetrating her oral mucosa.”
