Delhi CM’s Dharna is a political stunt : Manoj Tiwari,Delhi BJP Prez

Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari accused CM Arvind Kejriwal of running a petty ‘political stunt’ to create an “anti-BJP, anti-Narendra Modi” front before the 2019 Lok Sabha election. He called “unfortunate” the attending of the Chief Ministers of four states in a “drama” organized by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

The leader of opposition in the Delhi Legislative Assembly, Vikas Gupta who is on an indefinite hunger strike at the CM’s office in Delhi Secretariat wrote an “open letter” to Kejriwal asking him to look beyond “political interests” and to resume work along with his ministers. Earlier today, Delhi IAS Association also came in protest against the CM’s remark that they were not obeying the Ministers’ orders. Manisha Saxena on behalf of the Delhi IAS Association had stated CM’s remarks as ‘completely false and baseless’ and stated that they had been attending all the meetings and doing their works.

Vikas Gupta alleged in his letter that the press conference held by the CM’s of four states was an evidence in itself to prove that the Dharna had been a ‘political stunt’ aimed at forming an anti-BJP, anti-Modi front.

Though the Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, Karnataka CM H D Kumaraswamy and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu tried to meet Kejriwal at the Lieutenant Governor’s office in New Delhi, they were denied permission.

Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari alleged Mamata Banerjee deliberately trying to delay the NITI Aayog meeting on the “pretext” of Eid celebrations in her state while at the same time coming to attend CM Kejriwal’s Dharna.

Tiwari had asked the 4 CMs to advice Arvind Kejriwal to focus on the problems being faced by the people of Delhi. He tweeted the same.
