The 67-year-old teacher, Mohammad Ibrahim Shah, was battling for his life after he sustained 90 percent burns while his younger daughter Zulekha (43) and his wife Sherbano (65) were charred to death after the house torched. The tragic incident took place at Rajkot after the Eid celebration.
The police said that this was the result of an ugly fall-out between two brothers – Ibrahim and his elder brother Haji Yusuf Shah (75). The brothers were living in the same compound and the younger brother Ibrahim had a bigger house whereas the elder brother, Yusuf, had a small room.
Around 1:30 am, Yusuf went to Ibrahim’s house with an inflammable liquid and started pouring the liquid on house’s walls.
