Health Minister K.K Shailaja said ‘Operation Sagar Rani’ was started last year as there was the suspicion that poisonous fish was being transported to Kerala from other states. This operation and its procedures will be strengthened in the coming days.

Shailaja said that this is a complicated issue and that it cannot be contained by the health department alone. She hoped for help from other departments including Home Ministry.
