This homemade veggie burger serves as an excellent option. This veggie burger is prepared with fresh vegetables cooked in flavorful spices. It tastes great to satisfy your craving taste buds. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- For Veg Masala
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Onion – 1
- Potato – 1/2
- Carrot – 1
- French beans – 10
- Peas – 1/2 cup
- Garlic pwd – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin pwd – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric pwd – 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli pwd – 3/4 tsp
- Coriander pwd – 1 tsp
- Garam masala pwd – 1/2 tsp
- Amchur pwd – 1/2 tsp
- Maida flour – 1 tbsp
- Poha – 2 tbsp
- Coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
2. To Make Maida Paste
- Maida flour – 2 tbsp
- Corn flour – 2 tbsp
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- To Make Veg Cutlets
- Breadcrumbs – 1 cup
- Oil to deep fry
3. To Make Burger
- Butter – 1 tbsp
- Burger buns – 3 to 4
- Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
- Lettuce – few
- Sliced onions
- Sliced tomatoes
- Garlic pwd
- Sliced cheese
- Salt to taste
Method
1. To Make Veg Masala
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in frypan.
- Add onions and toss until light brown.
- Add sliced potatoes, carrots, french beans, peas and saute in high flame.
Cover & cook in low flame for 10 mins. Stir once in a while. (No need to add water. The moisture in veggies is enough for cooking) - Cook until the veggies are cooked soft.
- Add salt, garlic pwd, cumin pwd, turmeric pwd, red chilli pwd, coriander pwd, garam masala pwd, amchur pwd and parsley.
Toss good. - Add maida flour and soaked poha. This helps to bind the mixture.
- Mix the masala good.
- Turn off flame.
Add freshly chopped coriander leaves. Mash the contents. - Set it aside.
2. To Make Maida Paste
- Take maida flour and corn flour in a small bowl.
- Add salt and oil.
- Add little water and mix to smooth paste as shown in video.
Set it aside.
3. To Make Veg Cutlet:
- Keep bread crumbs ready.
- Take a small portion of the veg mixture (step 12) and roll it.
- Plat it flat to small thick disc.
- Dip it in maida paste.
- Roll with bread crumbs and arrange in plate.
- Repeat the same for the rest of the veg mixture.
- Heat oil in frypan.
- Fry the cutlets in hot oil in medium flame.
- Deep fry until the veg cutlets are cooked crispy and golden.
- Drain from oil in kitchen tissue.
- Lip-smacking delicious veg cutlets are ready to stuff inside burger.
4. To Make Burger
- Melt 1 tsp of butter in frypan.
- Split the buns into two halves and roast in medium flame to golden.
- Take it aside.
- Let’s start preparing burger.
- Take the bottom portion of bun.
- Apply mayonnaise and spread.
- Spread lettuce and place veg cutlet over it.
- Top with cheese slice.
- Spread some onion and tomato slices.
- Sprinkle salt and top with lettuce.
- Take the top portion of the bun and apply mayonaisse.
- Sprinkle some garlic pwd and cover the burger.
- A delicious homemade veg burger is ready.
Enjoy with tomato ketchup or any dip of your choice.
