Mampazhapulissery
Ingredients
- Ripe mango – 4
- Green Chilli – 5
- Turmeric powder- ½ teaspoon
- Cumin seed powder- ½ teaspoon
- Grated coconut- 1cup
- Sour buttermilk- 1 cup
- Fenugreek powder- ¼ teaspoon
- Coconut oil- 1 tablespoon
- Mustard- 1 pinch
- Dry red chilli- 3
- Salt as required
- Curry leaves- 1 stem
Method
Peel and cut mango into pieces and boil in water along with turmeric, Grethe en Chillies, Chilli powder and salt. Grind the coconut with the cumin seeds and fenugreek powder to a fine paste and add this to the boiling mango. Add buttermilk and heat mildly on low flame. Do not boil. Heat oil in a pan and crackle mustard. Add curry leaves and dry red Chilli. Add this seasoning to the curry and stir.
