One of the most iconic directors of Indian cinema Mani Ratnam was hospitalised after he complained of chest pains, claim reports. It is learned that PRO of the director claims he was just admitted for a routine checkup. The moment this news broke who’s who from the industry rushed to the hospital to see the race director. it was in 2009, while filming starring Ajay Devgn, Vivek Oberoi, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Esha Deol, Ratnam survived a heart attack. Post this, Ratnam had complained of chest pain twice.

Just when we were getting more news on the same, Apollo Hospital issued a statement. It is said that the Noted movie director Mani Ratnam visited Apollo Hospital here for a check-up, after complaining of chest pain, but is in fine condition, said a hospital official.“He had come to the hospital for a check-up. His condition is fine. He has not been admitted,” the hospital official told IANS.Mr. Ratnam had complained of chest pain, the official added.
Ratnam recently wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming action-thriller Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. The film is based on industrial pollution. It features Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Dayana Erappa in the primary roles.
