Rajinikanth and Rahul Gandhi visits DMK leader Karunanidhi in hospital

M. Karunanidhi, who is in Kauvery Hospital had 2 visitors on Tuesday.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi had visited the nonagrarian and tweeted about his visit: “I met Karunanidhiji in Intensive Care Unit. We have a long relationship with Karunanidhi and DMK. He is doing well and his health condition is stable. Karunanidhi is tough like the people of Tamil Nadu. Karunanidhi has the spirit of Tamil Nadu. I am happy to say that the leader is stable now.”

The Congress leader was in the hospital for nearly 15 minutes. He was accompanied by the party general secretary Mukul Wasnik and Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president Su Thirunavukkarasar.

His visit was followed by Rajinikanth

“I came to inquire about the country’s most senior leader. He was sleeping. I inquired about his health from his family members. I pray to the almighty for his speedy recovery,” Rajinikanth told media after meeting Karunanidhi’s family members.

Rajinikanth also met DMK leader MK Alagiri at the hospital.

After meeting Stalin, Rajinikanth said, “I enquired about Karunanidhi’s health to Azhagiri, Stalin, and Kanimozhi. He should long live. I pray to the almighty for the speedy recovery of the DMK leader.

The DMK leader was hospitalized due to urinary tract infection, drop in blood pressure and age-related ailments.

Although there was a slight setback in the DMK leader’s health, now he has been stabilized and is under observation.
