An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 on the Richter scale hit the Andrean of Islands and the Aleutian Islands at 9:05 AM Indian Standard Time (IST) in Alaska, USA.
The Alaska Earthquake Center said that the earthquake occurred in the remote Andrean of Islands region of Alaska, but was felt almost 70 miles away in Adak. The earthquake had a depth of about 7 miles.

No casualties, injuries or damages have been reported so far. Last week, a 6.6 quake shook the Islands which is about 75 miles southwest of Adak.
