Maharashtra ; A Muslim man from Maharashtra got two daughters of a Hindu woman married as per Hindu traditions and customs.According to reports and a Facebook post, the man identified as Bababhai Pathan organised the marriage ceremony with his own savings.
The mother of the two sisters, who lost her husband, had been tying Rakhi to Bababhai Pathan for many years. So, on the day of her daughter’s wedding, Pathan performed the duties of a ‘mama’ (maternal uncle). The Facebook post by Sameer Gaikwad suggests the man indeed played the role of a maternal uncle when it was time for the sisters of the Bhusare family to get married. He not only assumed the role of the sisters’ uncle but also stepped up and performed all rituals as per Hindu practices before bidding them goodbye.
Photos shared on Facebook shows Pathan crying and hugging the two sisters as they leave for their new homes. The post has earned more than 1,700 likes and close to 200 shares since being shared on Sunday. Netizens were all praises for Pathan’s gesture.
“Uncle’s ritual was performed by Baba Bhai Pathan at the wedding of two daughters of Bhusare family in Bodhegaon district Ahmednagar. The mother of the bride ties Rakhi to Baba Bhai every year because she doesn’t have a friend brother.Baba Bhai Pathan played the role of brother and uncle..Where humanity, love, and trust are united, the physical matters of transaction become minor…” reads the Facebook post.
