The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out a raid on Thursday at the residence of Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra in connection with the paper leak case involving government recruitment exams in Rajasthan. This operation involves ED teams from both Delhi and Jaipur, and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officers are also present. Additionally, the ED has summoned Vaibhav Gehlot, the son of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, for questioning in a case related to the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
The ED’s extensive operation spans 12 locations across Rajasthan. Among these locations, the focus is on five places associated with Govind Singh Dotasara, which include three locations in Jaipur and two in Sikar. Simultaneously, the ED’s team has reached seven locations linked to independent MLA Omprakash Hoodla. Notably, Dotasara is the Congress candidate contesting for the Laxmangarh assembly seat in Sikar district in the upcoming elections. Upon the ED officials’ arrival at his Sikar residence around 9:30 AM, Dotasara was initially questioned before being taken to his office within the house for further inquiry. It’s worth mentioning that the ED’s actions in Rajasthan have sparked political debate, with several opposition party leaders, including Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, raising questions about the ED-CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) operations.
