Mumbai: Indian equity benchmark indices ended lower in the volatile session on October 31. BSe Sensex settled at 63,874.93, down 237.72 points or 0.37%. NSE Nifty ended at 19,079.60, down 61.30 points or 0.32%.
About 1830 shares advanced, 1675 shares declined, and 117 shares remained unchanged. Top gainers were SBI Life Insurance, Titan Company, HDFC Life, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Asian Paints. Top losers were M&M, Sun Pharma, Eicher Motors, LTIMindtree and ONGC.

Except realty, all other sectoral indices ended lower with auto, bank and healthcare down 0.3-0.6%. The BSE midcap index rose 0.3%, while smallcap index ended flat.
