Mumbai: Indian equity benchmark indices ended on a negative note in the volatile session on November 9. BSE Sensex settled at64,832.20, down 143.41 points or 0.22%. NSE Nifty ended at 19,395.30, down 48.20 points or 0.25%.
About 1588 shares advanced, 1979 shares declined, and 123 shares remained unchanged. Top gainers were M&M, Apollo Hospitals, Coal India, Hero MotoCorp, IndusInd Bank, Power Grid Corporation, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, and L&T. The top losers were Adani Enterprises, HUL, Adani Ports, Tech M, Tata Consumer Products, Infosys, ONGC, Bajaj Finance, TCS, Reliance Industries, UPL, Titan Company, ONGC and JSW Steel.

Mixed trend seen on the sectoral front with realty and auto indices up 1% each, while Oil & Gas, FMCG, Information Technology indices down 0.5% each.BSE Midcap index added 0.06%, while Smallcap index down 0.25%.
