Bangkok: In archery, India’s Dhiraj Bommadevara won a silver medal quota in the men’s recurve event at the Asian Continental Qualifier Tournament 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand. He also won Paris Olympics berth. This is India’s first archery quota for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Dhiraj Bommadevara lost to Chinese Taipei’s Lin Zih-Siang 5-6 via shootoff in the gold medal match.

The Asian Continental Qualifier Tournament offers individual quotas to the two countries who made the finals in men’s and women’s sections. India however failed to secure a quota in the women’s individual section after Ankita Bhakat made a quarterfinal exit, losing to Ziyodakhon Abdusattorova of Uzbekistan.
