On Friday in Kozhikode, three men—Ribin Baby, Babinesh, and Nidhin—were apprehended for assaulting police officers inside the Balussery police station. This incident unfolded after the accused broke into the station late at night.
Earlier that day, the trio had been summoned to the station in response to a complaint from students who alleged an attack at a Balussery bus stand. Despite a warning from the police, the assailants were released.
According to reports from Manorama News, the accused attempted to break into the station multiple times, verbally abusing officers on a couple of occasions before succeeding on their third attempt. Their intrusion disrupted official work, culminating in the assault on officers, including the tearing of Assistant Sub Inspector of Police (ASI) Ragesh’s uniform.
Authorities revealed that the accused, identified as habitual offenders, now face a registered case against them.
