The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has dismissed rumors about paper leaks for the 2025 board exams, calling them “baseless” and designed to create unnecessary panic among students and parents. The exams, which began on February 15 and will run until April 4, involve approximately 44 lakh students from over 8,000 schools across India and abroad. CBSE assured that comprehensive measures are in place to ensure the exams are conducted fairly and smoothly.
The board has noted that false claims about access to question papers are being spread by certain individuals on social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter). In response, CBSE is working closely with law enforcement agencies to track down those responsible for spreading these rumors and is actively monitoring such activities. The board warned that any students involved in such actions would face severe consequences under its Unfair Means Rules and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
CBSE emphasized that sharing or uploading any exam-related material on social media is prohibited and could lead to the cancellation of exams for the current year and the next three years. The board advised parents to guide their children to avoid engaging with unverified information, stressing the importance of relying on official updates from CBSE’s website and verified channels. It also announced that legal action would be taken against anyone spreading misinformation to protect the integrity of the exam process.
