For females, sanitary pads become an important product in their life. But this actress has given up on them.
Dia Mirza, who has been appointed as the UN goodwill ambassador from India, recently made quite a few surprising revelations. The actress shared in a recent interview that she doesn’t use sanitary pads during periods.
While speaking with NBT, Dia explained that she has stopped using the products that harm the environment. She also added that though using sanitary pads is a necessity, but after getting to know how it badly affects the environment, she has stopped using them.
The actress was quoted as saying, “The Sanitary napkins and diapers in our country are polluting the environment on a larger scale and that’s why during periods I have stopped using sanitary napkins. As an actor, if I am saying this then it is a big thing because we also promote sanitary napkins. Whenever I get offers of sanitary napkins promotions, I clearly deny them.”
On the work front, Dia will be seen next in Ranbir Kapoor starrer Dutt biopic.
