Indian Homoeopathic Medical Association claimed to have a medicine available for Nipah Virus and requested to grant them permission to treat the victims. Government has dimissed the claims completely. State Health Secretary Rajeev Sadanandan said that the government has not been informed about the existence of any such medicines yet.
Currently Homeopathic doctors are asked by the Health department to deliver medicines on different fevers but the state faction of Indian Homoeopathic Medical Association have asserted that they are in possession of the medicine that could solve the current biggest issue of the state
“We haven’t heard of any preventive medicine against Nipah, if it exists it can be approved only after it is extensively tested” said Rajiv Sadanandan. He said if more people were infected by the virus they should have already been on hospital by now. He expressed hope that the count of infected people won’t go up. He warned People not to fall in to the the traps laid by fake whatsapp messages spreading about the disease. “Public and Media are cooperating with the health department on this issue” he added.
Homoeopathic Association claimed that many people are requesting for Homoeo treatment for Nipah virus. They said they will soon meet State health minister.
