Italian Oats Bread Upma

Ingredients
- 15 Bread slices
- 2 cups Instant Oats (Oatmeal), (Italian)
- 3 Tomatoes, chopped small
- 2 Carrots (Gajjar), thinly sliced
- 2 Onions, thinly sliced
- 2 Green Chillies , finely chopped
- 1 Coriander (Dhania) Leaves, finely chopped
- Salt, to taste
- 1 teaspoon Cooking oil, for cooking

How to make
- To begin making the Italian Oats Bread Upma recipe, first toast the bread. You can toast it in your toaster or on a skillet.
- Once the bread is toasted, apply the softened butter over the toasted bread and cut the bread into small dices and keep aside.
- In a large wok or a kadai, heat a teaspoon of oil; add the onions, carrots and green chillies and saute the onions and carrots on medium heat, until soft and tender.
- Once the onions and carrots are soft, add in the tomatoes and oats; drizzle 1/4 cup of water and stir and cook the tomatoes and oats until they turn slightly soft and the oats are cooked through and most of the water is evaporated.
- Add in a little salt and the toasted bread pieces. Stir well to combine all the ingredients and stir-fry on medium to high heat for a couple of minutes.
- We stir fry just to make sure the bread pieces are well coated.
- Finally, stir in the chopped coriander leaves into the Italian Oats Bread Upma and serve it for breakfast or a tea time snack for friends and family.
