Guwahati: Assam Education Minister Himanta Bishwa Sharma has said that schoolgirls who attend classes regularly will be paid Rs 100 a day.

He said the money could be used by students to buy books or for other educational purposes. He said all these projects in the state were planned to be implemented from last year but it was not possible in the wake of the Covid expansion.
